Great features have been added to WordPress Engine and Blog, where now users can customize their WordPress-based Blog/Website’s view on IPad using Appearance customization tools offered through the Administration Panel.

PC Users, you don’t have to have an IPAD to check out the above. You can use Safari browser tools to check our your Blog’s Layout on IPAD.

This would allow you to engage with others, reach wider range of users, and a lot more.

Basically, you’ve advanced one step further in Social Media Channels’ engagement.

More interesting features, worth exploring, are being added to WordPress.

As Facebook social campaigns become more mainstream, marketers can increase ROI by integrating e-commerce functionality. Campaigns leveraging the Facebook store could include:

  • Facebook contests that request Likes can automatically send users to the Facebook store to encourage product browsing.
  • Businesses can post ads, promotions, flash sales, or product-focused press to their Wall and link to the Facebook store’s PDP pages, enabling quick purchasing ability within the social network.
  • By leveraging the Facebook Fans API, brands are empowered to combine “deals of the day” or product announcements with deep links to product detail and purchase pages within the Facebook store. This approach gives the user fast transaction capabilities, while also helping the brand collect the user’s data and demographic details.
  • Facebook is currently testing a “Buy With Friends” program, which allows brands to offer discount incentives to users who encourage their friends to buy the same item by publishing purchases on friends’ news feeds.

Facebook users spend more than 700 billion minutes per month browsing the network. As many consumers are increasingly spending the majority of their online time on Facebook, it’s crucial for brands to maximize their social presence with a Facebook commerce strategy that encourages social shopping and drives additional revenue.

The digital revolution

One of the important tools is:

social media and social networks. Unlike online meetings, these technologies were popularised in the consumer world before being applied to business. At first glance, blogs and podcasts might not be obvious tools for workplace communication, but in fact they can provide a vehicle for disseminating information across an entire company, or for sharing knowledge. For instance, blogs can allow employees to share and discuss information they have gathered which can be of wider benefit. They can then act as a knowledge base that others can refer to at anytime. Twitter, a more recent development, is more similar to IM in that it is best suited to short, one-off requests. But its ability to send a request or message to a network of followers simultaneously can give employees access to a powerful bank of pooled knowledge.

Social networking is the final piece in the puzzle. While sites such as Facebook and MySpace remain primarily in the consumer market, you shouldn’t underestimate the potential of business-oriented networks such as LinkedIn, which can have many benefits. For example, a simple status update could be used to announce company news, and valuable insight can be gained by looking at who is connected with your contacts – you can improve your knowledge of existing clients, and perhaps even identify new ones. By joining or creating groups on a site like LinkedIn, you can identify distinct groups of contacts, whether internal or external, with which to communicate on particular issues. This can be particularly useful in smaller companies where there are less people to discuss ideas, as it can provide an almost limitless network of peers with which to debate new strategies or initiatives. We’re currently working with LinkedIn on its first European Business Awards, the first time that the success of individuals and businesses using the network has been celebrated.

Last year, Forrester had claimed that we would see non-telco companies like Apple, Google and Facebook seeing increased importance as key players in the mobile ecosystem, we would see increasing device and OS (operating system) fragmentation, the increased integration of location and social into mobile services, increased consumer use of mobile commerce services and mobile product professionals would be increasing their mobile budgets.
